Move the Way Love Makes You Move

Don’t move the way fear makes you move. Move the way love makes you move. Move the way joy makes you move - OSHO

September is National Yoga Month and September 18 specifically was National Dance Day so I wanted to dedicate a post to movement.

Moving my body intentionally and daily is one of the main ways I practice self-love. Yoga is one of my anchors. As a person of African descent, dance is so so good for my soul (Carribean gyal, Ayisienne specifically).

In the midst of this pandemic where so many of us find our movement restricted, there is a freedom to be found in our bodies.

So stretch to the heavens, root into the ground, let your hips go, roll your shoulders around. Whether it’s dance or yoga, running or walking, or some sort of sport, solo or with others, I hope you find a form of movement that resonates with you.
